The Vision Award will be presented to a monitoring council or other group that has demonstrated extraordinary vision and cooperation in the field of water quality monitoring on a local or regional level through one or more of the following areas related to natural and water resources management:
Developing new and creative approaches to water resources monitoring and management on a local/regional level.
Providing leadership in bringing together a diverse array of partners, including scientists, managers, stakeholders, and communities, to address water quality/quantity issues.
Promoting water quality monitoring data comparability, management, and sharing.
Educating stakeholders on water related monitoring and management issues.
