Steve Lundt, Certified Lake Manager and NALMS Resident “Lakespert”, has monitored and worked to improve water quality at Barr Lake (Denver, Colorado) for the past 19 years. Steve is active with the Colorado Lake & Reservoir Management Association and is a past Region 8 director for NALMS and an active member since 1998.

The “Lakespert” column is part of LakeLine Magazine, the quarterly e-magazine published by the North American Lake Management Society (NALMS). LakeLine contains news, commentary and articles on topics affecting lakes, reservoirs and watersheds. Usually organized around a theme, like control of invasive species or resolving recreational conflicts, each issue becomes a valued resource for lake users and advocates.
