The Jim LaBounty Best Paper Award 2025
The Jim LaBounty Best Paper Award is awarded annually for the Best Paper published in Lake and Reservoir Management. For 2025, members of the editorial board nominated seven papers from the last two issues 2024, and the first two issues 2025. These papers are available through Free Access from Taylor and Francis for the month of March 2026. The winner was chosen by multiple rounds of voting by the editorial board.

NALMS 314 Working Group Flies into DC
The President’s Budget for FY 2026 previously proposed the complete elimination of the Non-Point Source Pollution Reduction grant program in Section 319 of the Clean Water Act, along with an 87% reduction Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. These programs are essential to protecting lakes, ponds, and reservoirs. The 319 program has improved water quality for nearly 1,500 lake and pond projects since 2002.
