NALMS Adds Our Voice to WOTUS Letter

Proposed Changes to WOTUS Definition: NALMS Lends Our Voice to CASS Letter
In a letter sent earlier this month to the USEPA Office of Water, NALMS has joined seven other members of the Consortium of Aquatic Science Societies (CASS) in a joint letter to offer comments on the proposed revisions to the definition of Waters of the United States (WOTUS). CASS members noted that the revisions would weaken federal protection of U.S. waters and called for “the development and use of the best-available science to sustainably manage our freshwater, estuarine, coastal, and ocean resources for broad economic, environmental and public health benefits.”
Along with our fellow CASS societies, NALMS remains committed to working to protect the most priceless natural resource on this earth: water.
