LakeLine 38-4: Persistence in Lake Management

Description

This winter issue of LakeLine brings to light some of the challenges we face in managing lakes and their watersheds. We all know that some projects are inherently fraught with frustrations or setbacks: things don’t move as fast as we’d like, permitting is more onerous than expected, funding did not come through, equipment did not work as planned or realized improvements in water quality were not as predicted. This list could go on and on. We highlight some of these situations in this issue of LakeLine, and entitled it “Persistence in Lake Management.”
