How to Become a NALMS Affiliate

The NALMS Board grants affiliate status to state, provincial, territorial, or regional lake management groups which have a purpose, objectives, and mission statement consistent with those of NALMS, demonstrate a willingness to partner with NALMS on activities that promote environmentally sound lake and reservoir management, and successfully petition the Board for approval of the group’s affiliate membership in NALMS.

To apply for affiliate membership, please provide a letter stating your organization’s desire to join NALMS as an affiliate member and include the following:

  1. Your organization’s full contact information, including: mailing address, email address, organization’s website, and a contact phone number.
  2. Your organization’s geographic coverage (e.g., state or province).
  3. Your organization’s purpose, objectives, and mission statement.
  4. Your organization’s willingness to partner with NALMS on activities that promote environmentally sound lake and reservoir management.

Following receipt of your letter and membership dues, your application will be presented to the Board of Directors for approval. You will then be contacted with the Board’s decision and whatever further steps may be necessary to fully implement your affiliate membership.
