As part of its International Symposium, the North American Lake Management Society (NALMS) will offer a number of workshops to its attendees on Monday, November 16 prior to the start of the conference’s technical sessions. These workshops are meant to be hands-on and interactive sessions involving activities, audience participation and discussion about specific lake management-related topics.

Compensation

NALMS strives to provide workshops to its participants at an affordable price, typically $115 for half-day workshops and $215 for full-day workshops. Because of this, NALMS cannot guarantee any compensation to workshop presenters. NALMS will pay the workshop coordinator 50% of the workshop’s profit after all related expenses have been deducted from the income of the workshop. Deducted expenses may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Room and audio-visual equipment rental;
  2. Breaks and meals associated with the workshop; and
  3. Reproduction of workshop handouts and other materials.

NALMS shall be solely responsible for identifying said expenses and determining the profit share to be paid to the presenter. NALMS will reimburse workshop presenters for the cost of producing workshop handouts upon request.

Presenters may choose to offer either a half-day or full-day workshop.
