Website University of Florida

The desired focus of the position is the influence of land-sea interactions on the well-being and sustainability of coastal natural resources and communities. These interactions relate to a wide range of challenges facing Florida’s coastal environment, including harmful algal blooms, eutrophication, hypoxia, climate change, sea level rise, pollutants, hydrologic and physical alterations, and habitat losses. These and other challenges, in turn, affect coastal resources and communities, including fisheries, tourism, property values, recreational activities, natural hazard risks and human health.
