Job Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise and client management in a range of service areas including:

·       Surface water quality modeling

·       Assessments of lake, reservoir, and river water-quality dynamics

·       Watershed modeling

·       Water-quality regulatory matters

Job Duties

·       Setup, calibrate, and run surface water-quality models

·       Analyze water-quality data to develop an understanding of dynamics

·       Write technical reports and memoranda

·       Manage modeling support staff

·       Support and interact with clients

Skills and Qualifications

·       Thorough understanding of surface water-quality dynamics

·       Experience in water-quality model development and calibration

·       Strong data analysis and interpretation skills

·       Excellent technical writing skills

·       Strong presentation skills

·       Attention to detail

·       Ability to deal with complexity

·       Self-starter

·       Ability to understand client needs

·       Ability to clearly communicate complex information to lay people

·       Advanced degree in environmental engineering or related environmental science

·       At least 5 years of relevant professional experience

·       Project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects effectively

·       Excellent analytical and computational skills

·       Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities

·       People-oriented and a collaborative team player

·       Motivated to learn more and enthusiastic

Other Desirable Skills and Experience

·       Knowledge of laboratory analytical techniques and methods

·       Field sampling experience
