SUMMARY:2024 Western AIS Short Course
DESCRIPTION:The mission of the Western AIS short course is to provide an in-person educational program on AIS prevention\, management\, and overall aquatic health as well as to promote partnerships that increase collaboration and communication across disciplines. Educational programs and meetings such as this one are critical to maintaining effective lines of communication between aquatic resource stakeholder groups\, managers\, and researchers with the ultimate goal of increasing our intact aquatic ecosystems. \nAttendees can expect to:\n-Discuss regional challenges and management practices for aquatic invasive species\n-Learn about current research and technology from professionals in the field of aquatic resource management\n-Earn continuing education credits in aquatic pest control\n-Network with other aquatic resource managers and researchers from across the West\n-Participate in workshops for identifying priority AIS
