DESCRIPTION:Family fun night.  Wear your costume as we play night games in the forest\, walk through the historic buildings.  Find out what goes bump in the night.  Learn who/what makes the “spooky” sounds in the old barn.  Explore with your night vision.  Collect candy treats along the way.  Meet at the Environmental Education Center.  Begins at 6:00.  Space is limited.  $5.00/person.  Registration is required.

SUMMARY:Full Moon Hike
DESCRIPTION:Join Environmental Educator\, Jamie Reeger\, for a guided hike on the trails at Lacawac.  As our eyes adjust to the fading light we’ll look and listen for the nocturnal awakening.  We will hike to the shores of Lake Wallenpaupack to watch the full moon rise.  This is a strenuous 3 mile hike\, please be prepared and dress accordingly.  Meet at the Visitor Center.  Begins at 6:00 p.m.  Donations suggested.  Registration is required.

DESCRIPTION:Come about to the Chautauqua Lake Yacht Club on Saturday\, July 27\, from 9am to Noon for a casual meet and greet with the many lake organizations that help preserve\, protect and maintain the lake we all love. \nEnjoy coffee and danishes while chatting with the CLA’s friends and lake management partners. \nSpecial guests include Aquatic Biologist Melanie Rooney; the Chautauqua County Soil & Water Conservation District; and the Chautauqua-Conewango Consortium. \nThere will also be useful information on boater safety\, local fishing groups\, HABs and highlights about the rich history of Chautauqua Lake. \nMeet the CLA Watercraft Stewards and hear about the work they do to protect Chautauqua Lake from Aquatic Invasive Species. Equipment demos will give an up-close look at the in-lake services the CLA provides. \nThis event is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.
