Conferences and Workshops
Michigan NALMS sponsors Semi-annual conferences and workshops which highlight lake improvement and lake protection projects, state-of-the-art lake management initiatives, perspectives on the regional and national scene, and other topics of interest to the professional and nonprofessional alike.
Newsletter
The Chapter's newsletter, Lake Effect, is published quarterly. It features articles on current events in lake management, legislation affecting Michigan lakes, new publications and information sources, and news from NALMS and Michigan NALMS conferences and workshops.
NALMS Worldwide
Through Michigan NALMS, you can become a member of the parent organization NALMS. NALMS offers the opportunity to meet with lake managers and advocates from across the U.S. and other nations at its annual international symposium. In addition, NALMS offers two excellent publications, the scientific journal Lake and Reservoir Management and the magazine Lake Line

If you'd like to help promote the understanding and management of lakes in Michigan, please consider joining a Michigan NALMS committee. These include: Communications, Programs, Government Affairs, Awards, Membership, and Nominations.

Michigan NALMS is a chapter of the North American Lake Management, whose mission is to forge partnerships among citizens, scientists, and professionals to foster the management and protection of lakes and reservoirs for today and tomorrow.
