The North American Lake Management Society (NALMS) founded the Eberhardt Memorial Student Fund to honor the life of Tom and Elinor Eberhardt. Tom and Elinor were proud supporters of NALMS, dedicated and dependable corporate members and good friends to all of us in the NALMS family.  On December 30th, 2010 Tom and Elinor tragically died in a plane crash. They will be deeply missed.

The Eberhardt Memorial Student Fund supports travel grants for students to present the results of graduate-level research at NALMS’ Annual International Symposium. Student presenters may use these grants to cover the costs of Symposium registration fees, travel, and/or overnight accommodations.

The Sweetwater Exhibit Booth and the Alum Workshop at our annual International Symposium will be Tom and Elinor’s lasting legacy with NALMS. Not only did they make a positive difference for NALMS, the Eberhardts made a positive difference for many of the lakes we love.
