I want to take a moment out of "Day 6" on the job, to say hello to the NALMS membership. (Actually, Dick is the one who is counting the days – I think because he is so darned relieved he can focus on being president without also having to serve in effect as executive director. To me, it’s Week 2, which although busy, happily feels less like a fire drill than Week 1 did). Of necessity, the first order of business is immersing myself in NALMS’ complicated operations and culture, and quickly getting a few threshold management systems in place. That will be keeping me fully occupied until I have the opportunity to meet the membership in Orlando. But I look forward to the Symposium and related meetings as the real start of our journey together to transform NALMS into the organization of its dreams. See you all very soon.
