"I have been very fortunate to have had the privilege to be a longtime active member of NALMS. Our Society has helped me be a better lake scientist and manager. Through my involvement with NALMS I have grown professionally and have learned to apply my skills to help other lake stewards. Now I would like to work toward making NALMS an even greater Society that is second to none in the world relative to lake management. In the past few years NALMS has made significant process toward building a better organization. It has been actively evolving from a start-up volunteer organization to a Society that can better serve its members and expand its efforts to promote sound lake management. I would like this opportunity to help continue this process of building an efficient, effective and sustainable Society. I will draw on my experience from the private business environment when conducting the business of the Society. At all times I will strive to keep NALMS focused on promoting better lake management, while building on its rich history and culture, keeping an open mind to diverse views of its members, promoting positive actions, serving and keeping members while expanding membership. I look forward to the challenges ahead and working to help NALMS meet these challenges. Thanks to the members of NALMS, for you are why our Society is great and fun."
